Come to Your Senses:
A mindful Journey through Ireland
with Barbara Wulf
Ireland, a mystical land of ancient castles,
breathtaking scenery , and long remembered
legends sets the stage for this memorable
journey. Capturing and savouring onto it in a
whole new way is the goal of this trip.
Barb Wulf, mindfulness meditation teacher, photographer and designer
brings the present moment into full perspective as a guide for this tour.
Mindfulness teaches us to pay attention, on purpose, in the moment to
the world and those around us. By opening up to each moment, by really
paying attention to what we are seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling - as it
is happening, we enrich our travel experience and preserve the feelings
and memories of that experience for years to come.
Along the way, Barb will provide simple, mindfulness practices that will
guide you through your journey as you experience as a true sense of place
in this mystical land. For those with an interest in Photography, we will aim
to let go of goals, desires, expectations, techniques and move more fully
toward immersing ourselves into the experience of seeing, as we open up
our receptive awareness to what the scene has to offer.
Along our path we will spend an afternoon with a well known Irish
Photographer, who will share his love of the land as he gives us practical
tips for our own travel photos; experience the rugged beauty of
Connemara; explore Lismore Castle and surrounding gardens on its
stunning perch above the river Blackwater; visit the Cliffs of Moher, and
explore the Dingle Peninsula. In between these highlights we will (walk
an ancient labyrinth), listen to lots of music, and enjoy the Irish pubs!
Though we will cover considerable ground, this tour is designed to be
relaxing, fun and rejuvenating. There will be time for personal enjoyment
and exploration within the areas we will be visiting. Our goal is not to chase
one experience after the other, but to enjoy, to breathe into, open up to each
experience and each moment as it arises.
