Sunday 26th August: Depart USA for Shannon, Ireland.
Depart your local airport and kick back with a pre dinner drink, then watch the movie or
close your eyes and think of all the great things that await us as we approach the dawning of our first
day in the Emerald Isle.
Monday 27th August: Arrive Shannon & Travel to Killarney
On arrival in Shannon your driver guide will be waiting to take you to Killarney. Travel through
the picturesque village of Adare where you can take a short break before continuing on to the town
of Killarney for check in to your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure to relax and recover from your jet
lag. Dinner this evening at your hotel and free time to explore the pubs at your leisure.
Tuesday 28th August: Dingle Peninsula or Ring of Kerry
Dingle Peninsula: Visit to the harbour town of Dingle. On the tour you can see the Ring of Kerry
from the seaward side, maybe catching a glimpse of Fungi the famous Dingle dolphin. You may also
take in the sightseeing tour of the Slea Head, or just browse around the picturesque fishing village.
Ring of Kerry: Stunning seascapes and mountain dominate the day. Weather permitting we’ll enjoy
a stroll on the beach and return over Molls Gap to Killarney with views of the beautiful lakes. Return
to Killarney for evening dinner at your hotel.
Wednesday 29th August: Killarney to Galway Via the Cliffs of Moher
Today we take the ferry across the river Shannon and travel to the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, and
the breathtaking sights of the Burren, where under penalty of law you are aloud take nothing with
you except your memories and leave nothing behind except your footprints. We will stop for lunch in
Ballyvaughan before arriving in Galway for overnight and dinner
Thursday 30th August: Connemara or Aran Islands
Today there is the option of a day trip to the Aran Islands (extra cost for ferry) or a day tour of rugged
Connemara including a drive through the Inagh Valley and a stop at Kylemore Abbey. Return to
Galway for overnight and dinner and enjoy a fabulous evening of Irish music and dance at Trad on
the Prom.
Friday 31st August: Galway to Dublin.
Depart Galway and travel across the midlands to visit Clonmacnoise a 6th century settlement
founded by St. Ciaran on the banks of the river Shannon. Later continue to the ancient burial tombs
at Newgrange and the Boyne Valley. Onward to the capital city of Dublin where after check in to
your hotel the evening is at leisure to enjoy the pubs and restaurants on your own.
Saturday 1st September: The Big Game
At last the “BIG DAY” has arrived. We will enjoy a leisurely breakfast at our hotel. Our coach will then
bring us to the Aviva Stadium (formerly Lansdowne Road) to the HIGHLIGHT of our trip
“The Emerald Classic” when Notre Dame take on Navy in one of the biggest games of the season.
Sunday 2nd September: Free Day or City Sightseeing
Free day in Dublin or enjoy a city sightseeing tour . See the major historical sites of the city,
Kilmainham Gaol, The GPO, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Trinity College and much more on this
panoramic tour. Tonight as a farewell to Ireland enjoy a dinner and Irish show on your last night.
Monday 3rd September: Depart for USA
After breakfast we reluctantly make our way to Dublin airport bidding farewell to the Old Sod to
begin our journey home to.
