Celtic Journeys is a small boutique tour operator

Our trips are curated to ensure a unique experience and we deal directly with suppliers in each destination. Because of the customization of the trips we work with small, locally owned accommodation properties and artisans who offer bespoke experiences. Some are in remote locations and rely on a short window of time each year in which to conduct their business. The properties have limited rooms (and often we take up all their rooms for our clients) and a non-refundable deposit is required to guarantee a commitment on your behalf. The artisans commit their time to you and are not available then to anyone else. When we enter a contract with you on receipt of your deposit and signed registration form, this allows us to move forward on your behalf and reserve accommodation, transportation, guide services etc.

 General Terms for Land Programs:

  • Initial deposit is non-refundable once paid.
This covers the initial deposits we pay out on your behalf to guarantee your accommodations, visits and any local flights/transport that may be required. Included in these costs are fees for wire transfers and other items that are never recoverable but unseen during the booking process.

After final balance has been paid (usually 60 days prior to departure):

60 days prior to departure no refund unless we can recover funds from properties which are already prepaid. Any refunds that become available will be subject to any non-reimbursable fees incurred.

Special Circumstances

  • If you can find an alternative traveler to take your place, you may receive a refund of most of the costs, less any fees involved in the transfer.
  • Instead of cancelling look at the option of postponing. Most vendors are open to transferring to another time subject to availability.
Celtic Journeys will work with you to obtain the best possible outcome in the event you need to make a cancellation. We want to ensure you get the most from your plans and to help ensure your trip value is protected as much as possible.

Travel insurance is highly recommended and should be purchased when
paying your first non-refundable deposit.
